About the Artist
After graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1980, Jane embarked on a successful 20 year career in commercial illustration and design. She began painting full time in 2001, and her work has been very well received in the fine arts community. Her pastels and oils have been shown in numerous international juried shows, including Third Prize in the Sierra Pastel Society Annual International Exhibition, the Degas Society Annual International Exhibition, the Pastel Society of the West Coast International Open Juried show, and the International Exhibition of Animals in Art, for which her painting was chosen for the exhibition announcement, as well as an award. Other shows include Alabama Pastel Society national show and Art at the Classic in Grass Valley, California, each of which awarded her multiple prizes. This year alone she has been accepted to seven international and national juried shows with pieces exhibiting in Santa Fe, Tucson and Lexington. Next year she will be published in Pastel Magazine's Top 100 with a Third Award.

She has had one-woman shows in San Luis Obispo, Ca., Orcas Island, Wa., Sonoma, Ca., and Auburn, Ca. Her work has been represented by McConnell Gallery of San Luis Obispo, Nancy Dodds of Carmel, Darvil's Gallery of Orcas Island, Gallery One of Sonoma and Petaluma, Ca., Elliot Fouts Gallery of Sacramento, Ca. and The Black Cow Art Gallery in Auburn, Ca. 看She is a signature member of the American Academy of Women Artists, and an associate member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast. 看

Jane currently resides in the small Gold Country town of Pilot Hill, California with her husband, four horses, three dogs, and other transient animals.
